In recent years, Oil and Gas fields had suffered tremendous losses due to cloud to ground lightning strikes occurrence. Hence, lightning protection system must be implemented and installed in accordance to IEC standard strictly proper and frequent maintenance. 

Air termination system must be design based on the risk assessment analysis to ensure proper and effective protection against lightning.
